H.T. Hackney: A Case Study in LED
Contemporary Energy Solutions is known for helping clients eliminate waste from their operations and improve their bottom line. We typically look at facility lighting and energy supply first as these are the lowest hanging fruit for most companies.
LED high bay lights are specifically designed for taller ceilings and larger areas. They focus light more directly to create powerful illumination at a long range. This makes them perfect for commercial and industrial applications such as warehouses and retail stores. Quality LED bulbs can last 100,000 hours or more compared to the typical metal halide light bulb used in high bay applications with a rated life of around 20,000 hours. Energy savings can have the most significant impact as a 400-watt metal halide bulb can be replaced with a 180-watt (or less) LED. Implementing an LED replacement program should result in a 55% reduction in annual energy use (kWh) costs while additionally lowering electric demand (kW) charges.
